Written off when crashed into a ridge near Rovie, Albania while on joint night training mission with Albanian military. 9 crew killed. Official report of crash blames pilot's lack of situational awareness, putting aircraft into too low a climb taking terrain into account. Navigator warned pilot of impending ridge but pilot set aircraft to climb at reduced power setting, when ridge could not be cleared over, aircraft had to turn sharply and stalled.

Mid-air collision with a C-27J from United States Army Special Operations
Command Flight Company. Collision approximately 8 miles south of
Mackall AAF, North Carolina. Both aircraft declared emergencies and landed safely, the C-27
to Mackall AAF and the C-130 to Pope AAF. The C-130 sustained damage to the leading edge of the right wing and number 4 engine.

Flew through a US Army RQ-7 Shadow UAV orbiting near an airbase in Afghanistan operating at a FOB and the Reserve C-130 was on final approach to the airfield. A ruptured wing fuel tank and there may have done damage to the spar and wing box. Early reports are multiple errors including the RQ-7 not squawking. Aircraft was eventually repaired. 96-1005 crash lands at Minneapolis/St. Paul IAP after routine training missing. Airmen from the 133d AW spent 3 hours attempting to lower starboard side landing gear. 15 seconds after touchdown, starboard side MLG collapsed causing A/C to veer to the right causing a prop strike on the No. 3 & No. 4 engine, as well as outer wing damage. All 4 crew members survived w/o injury. A/C was repaired.

On 21 April 2015, at approximately 12:18hrs local time, departed controlled flight over water approximately 41NM south of Eglin AFB and then was recovered and landed safely. There were no significant injuries to the crew. Post-flight engineering analysis revealed that aircraft exceeded the Design Limit Load thus rendering it unsafe for further flight. The damages are estimated to be $115,600,000, which includes the total loss.
