Shot down by an SA-7 SAM 110 kilometers south-southeast of Kuwait City, Kuwait. All 14 crew on board lost their lives.
30 Mar 1972 [ w/o] 69-571 69- 6571 USAF 16 SOS AC-130E Details
Shot down by 57mm AAA over the Ho Chi Minh trail, Laos. The crew of 15 were able to bail out safely and were rescued by HH-53 and Air America helicopters.
13 May 1972 [ act] 69-573 69- 6573 USAF 16 SOS AC-130E Details
Hit by SA-7 in through the tail just above the ramp on the port side and fragments punched large holes on the starboard side. Ken Felty was injured in this missile strike and the aircraft landed safely. Aircraft was in combat for the The Easter Offensive in Vietnam and was repaired. Rebuilt using the tail of C-130B 57-0467 that hit a bulldozer on takeoff.

Crashed into sea after a Howitzer round exploded in the gun barrel causing fire in port engines, seven kilometers south of Malindi, Kenya. Six of the crew survived (pilot, co-pilot and 3 gunners), 8 were killed.

Crashed on take-off due to fin stall from Little Rock AFB. Apparantly all but one person perished when the aircraft hit the ground. One loadmaster jumped from the paratroop door after it came to a stop.

Crashed into the bomb dump just after take-off from a fin stall at Ramstein AB, West Germany. Cause was a missing washer on rudder control. Nine crew killed.

Suffered some minor damage when the undercarriae door fell off during flight and was easily repaired.

Destroyed by rocket at Tan Son Nhut AB, South Vietnam. The aircraft was taxiing to pick-up evacuees when it was destroyed.

Flew into Sleeping Indian mountains, Wyoming while on a presidential support mision. Crew of nine were killed.

Crashed short of a dirt runway during night landing at Indian Springs AFAF. Seven on board were killed while 61 survived.

Crashed after number four engine mount failed destroying number three engine and then structural failure of the wing about 360 kilometers east of Ankara, Turkey. All 28 people lost their lives.

Crashed when parachute deployed and load hung-up while dropping M551 Sheridan tank at Fort Bragg. One crew killed but six others survived.

Crashed during demonstration for Iranian hostage rescue attempt when JATO rockets failed to fire correctly resulting in a heavy landing that tore off the starboard wing and set the aircraft on fire at Duke Field (Eglin AFB Auxiliary Field 3). Aircraft may have been on-loan to Lockheed.

Damaged in early 1981 in a wheels up landing at Lajes, Azores. Repaired only to have another wheels up landing later in 1981.

Wheels up landing at CFB Cold Lake, Alberta, Canada and repaired. Had a gear up landing also earlier in the year.
