Ditched off Taiwan while searching for survivors from sunk freighter killing 13 of 14 on board. The only survivor was a PJ. Often mistaken as being with the 57th ARRS, but correct squadron assignment was the 31st ARRS.

Right wing suffered a structural failure in severe turbulence at low level about 25 kilometers north of Magdalena.

Crashed during a night refuelling mission in a remote area of Afghanistan injuring the crew of eight.

Attacked by a Peruvian aircraft while on an authorized anti-drug flight from Panama. The aft right door was blown out causing one of the crew members, Msgt. Joe Beard, to be sucked out of the aircraft. Aircraft made an emergency landing and was eventually repaired.
05 Sep 2001 [ act] 68-934 68- 10934 USAF 2 AS C-130E Details
During a tactical airdrop mission the no. 4 engine caught fire. The engine was shut down but the fire continued until the engine departed the aircraft. The Hercules landed safely at the Fayetteville Regional Airport.
30 Nov 1978 [ w/o] 68-936 68- 10936 USAF 41 TAS C-130E Details
Crashed 55 kilombeters west of Charleston, South Carolina after being hit by lightning. Crew of 6 killed.
23 Mar 1994 [ act] 68-942 68- 10942 USAF 41 AS C-130E Details
Mid air collision with F-16D 88-0171 at Pope AFB, North Carolina while on final approach. The F-16D fell to earth and impacted C-141B 66-0173 which was parked on the ramp. Sadly 24 people in the C-141 were killed and 84 were injured. The C-130 landed safely and was repaired.

Crashed into a hill 4 kilometers northwest of Borja, Spain during a night paratrooper drop. All eighteen onboard were killed.
01 Jul 1987 [ w/o] 68-945 68- 10945 USAF 40 TAS C-130E Details
Crashed after pilot failed to pull-up during a display of LAPES at an open house at Fort Bragg. Aircraft flew into the trees killing all three on board and one soldier on the ground. Two crew did survive.
02 Nov 1985 [ w/o] 68-946 68- 10946 USAF 37 TAS C-130E Details
Hard landing at Giebelstadt Army Airfield, West Germany. Nose section was removed and used to repair C-130E 64-0539 (c/n 4029) which was damaged when it ran off a runway.
10 Dec 1978 [ w/o] 68-951 68- 10951 USAF 50 TAS C-130E Details
Crashed on approach due to engine control wire link failed at Fort Campbell Army Airfield. Five crew killed.
Nov 2008 [ act] 69-825 69- 5825 USAF 8 SOS MC-130P Details
Damaged at Bamako, Mali, Africa on November 17th 2008. The aircraft was on a mission supporting CV-22s and while parked at a public airport, jet blast from a commercial airliner taxiing caused damage to the tail. Repairs were completed by November 20th and aircraft headed home the same day. Need to confirm exact date of loss.
