First received the C-130, the E model, in early 1966 at Langley AFB, Virginia and activated April 1, 1966. On July 1, 1975, completed a move to McChord AFB, Washington. Converted to C-141B Starlifter in 1989. Moved to current location in Yokota AB, Japan and returned to the C-130 again with the H model activating on October 1, 1993. During 2017 began conversion tot he C-130J.
