Great article on the 53rd in England. I was in the 54th WRS at Anderson in AFB, Guam from 1967-1969 on WC-130A and E aircraft. Yes, there were 3 A models, 56-519, 56-522, and 56-537 that operated out of OL-2 at Udorn RTAFB, Thailand in support of Operation Popeye. Everyone needs to do a penetration to appreciate what crews and planes go thru on a mission. You guys ROCK.

Was in 605 MASS, mostly on 66-225 HC-130P. Was really weird the setup. Assigned 54th Weather, in 605 MASS, on a 79th Air Rescue plane.
