Lockheed Martin awarded $969M contract for new build C-130Js

November 11, 2015 (by Asif Shamim) - Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Corporation has been awarded a $969M contract from the US Department of Defence on Tuesday for seventeen C-130J Hercules over a multi-year production.

The contract covers the following configurations:

  • 6x C-130J-30
  • 1x HC-130J
  • 9x MC-130J
  • 1x KC-130J


Work will be performed at Marietta, Georgia, and is expected to be complete by April 30, 2020.
