Philippines buy two C-130s from US Navy

Military officials from the Philippines inspected and signed an agreement with the US Navy to purchase two refurbished C-130s for $55 Million and are due for delivery early in 2016.
The two C-130T's (One being #163022) will join the existing fleet of three operational aircraft which the country currently has and will use them for territorial defense and humanitarian operations.
Major General Victor Bayani, assistant chief of staff for logistics, carried out the inspection and has signed the Letter of Offer and Acceptance on behalf of the government of the Philippines to procure the aircraft, at Joint Reserve Naval Air Station in Fort Worth, Texas, the US embassy said in a statement on Friday, January 9.
In addition, the US will also provide $20 million in Foreign Military Financing to the Philippines with the purchase.
