Errors and Omissions
58-720
This aircraft was initially assigned to the 463rd CAMS (Consolidated Aircraft Maintenance Squadron) Sewart Air Force Base, Smyrna, Tennessee.
Later the squadron was moved to Langley, AFB Virginia in approximately1963. The assigned aircraft tail numbers were *58-0720 through 58-0759.
This writer was enlisted as a 43250 Jet Engine Mechanic who was also privileged to have his first C-130B flight from Langley AFB, to the Azore Islands on this very aircraft. A very special place in days gone by and a salute to this piece of history. Missed but not forgotten.
*58-0715 and forward may also have been in the squadron but uncertain if that is correct
AIC Don Ray 1961-1965 USAF
