A Modular Airborne Fire Fighting System equipped ANG C-130E #62-1851 from the 115th AS here is reloaded with Phoschek fire retardant to be dropped on the Simi Fire in Southern California on October 28, 2003. Pilots flying eight Air Force Hercules cargo airplanes have dropped 129,600 gallons of retardant on the Simi fire during 48 sorties and 32 flying hours as of October 29.
