USN LC-130F 148320 which was damaged when the front of the nose ski was low and impacted the ice during landing. Shown here is the damage to the stabilizer. Nose ski was dipped down at the front during landing, caught the snow damaging the ski, nose gear, starboard ski and flap. Location of the mishap was Willy Field, Antartica and no injuries resulted with the aircraft returning to flying status shortly after. Date of loss is unknown, reportedly 1992 or 1993.
