May I just say PWNed. That has to suck to be those guys. Especially the blue plane in the first post.
Peace through superior firepower.

Damn! Don`t think I would "enjoy" looking out of my window on a civil flight, then looking at an engine with the casings blown off!!!!!! That would put me right off the inflight movie!

Ya know, someone should've told the guy in the Tomcat that those yellow handles between his knees are NOT supposed to be used to keep yourslef in the jet !
Some of those are clearly fatal, for which my prayers go out to the pilots.
To all the rest of the guys, I just have to say that I'm glad it ain't me !

I like the one with the T-38 - like he needs a fuel truck right at the moment.

Hey IDCrewDawg, I got to Bitburg just after that crash. The pilot had told the crew chief on launch to watch, told him "I'll show you something you have never seen before". Guess he was right....LOL

From the looks of that photo the gear collapsed.

Ah, the good ol' Eagle v. SP car incident from Eglin!
A male and female SP were patrolling together, with the male driving...The male "claimed" he dropped his cell phone. After that, there were no coed patrols on Eglin AFB.
Note to guys: If a girl is going to do that to you, pull into a parking lot first.
BTW, was that Eagle at Bitburg a writeoff, or was it able to be repaired?
Beers and MiGs were made to be pounded!

I think that pic is evidence enough as to why you should "get a room", so to speak.
BTW, nice pic of that Su-27! Was this yet one more Russkie airshow fighter mishap that I'm not aware of?
Ok, I found more about that Eagle from Bitburg. Here's the scoop:
12 Sept 81 F-15C 80-0007 22 TFS/36 TFW, Crashed on landing at Soesterberg AB.
It doesn't say whether it was a writeoff though. I'll keep digging.
