Even though that enema nozzle on the previous page was already debunked (and apparently, scared out of here), I will say, as Gums said, John McCain did leave the Hanoi Hilton at the appropriate rank. POW misconduct was not investigated, nor acted upon, until the 1973 release of the POWs. After that, the reports given by the SROs to their superiors were what inititated any necessary investigations into POW misconduct. As we already know, John McCain conducted himself honorably during his time in Hoa Lo Prison, and later retired as a Captain (Navy O-6, same as a full Colonel).

That same Nancy Boy from the first page also alleged that McCain did not return to flying status upon his release. That is also untrue. McCain recovered from his injuries, returned to flying status, and commanded an A-7 squadron in Jacksonville before retiring in 1981. It is said that he would have been in line for Commodore (later known as RAdm LH), had he not retired when he did, however, McCain already had plans to run for Congress, saying he could do more good there than as a senior Navy officer.

A lot of good facts here, but unfortunately, a lot of BS too. Beware of those 1 post cowboys out there...
