Couple of fun videos for the Phantom Phans

Cold war, Korea, Vietnam, and Desert Storm - up to and including for example the A-10, F-15, Mirage 200, MiG-29, and F-18.

This one's from WAY back. When you could get away with these kinds of shenanigans. At least in Terre Haute anyways. He even throws a zinger at the Eagle guys. :lmao: (Blue language alert. Don't say I didn't warn ya)

And a nice F-4F demo over Malta by the Luftwaffe. Low, fast, and LOUD! 8)

Phantom was first love.

It was big, loud, fast and.. ugly. In a cool way. Best description ever:

"The F-4 is a triumph of thrust over aerodynamics..." :)

Big time. The F-4, particularly with the older GE engines, the ones with the smoky combustors, produced some ear-splitting noise. On approach, the jet sounded like it was ripping the air apart. There's a really good YouTube video of some Luftwaffe F-4Fs doing some runs over a base. When I get a chance, I am going to post it. One of the passes...it sounds like the world is ending. Terrible noise!

Oh yeah. That noise of Double Ugly ripping the sky a new one. How dare those air molecules get in the way. As one of my Army buddies puts it "It sounds so angry!"
