Nah it’s the pilots sub conscience manifestation of what he is currently thinking about. “Why must I Chase the cat, Why must I act like that, Nothing but the Dog in me”!! that would explane his Goofy grin too!

79th FS still has a Hellcat. A male tabby that roams the halls and pretty much rules the roost. He is a pretty nice cat that takes to strangers as well as those in the unit.
F16 462 AD USAF. Crew dog for 3 and Even a pointy head for a few months.
