I was thinking it was a cruise missile, but since you could barely see anything anyway. . .

The video is a fake.
The audio came from an Saudi Desert Storm F-15 pilot who waxed two Iraqi aircraft early in the war (might have been the first night). He made two missile kills, hard to tell if they were sparrow or sidewinder shots. And I'm almost certain he shot down 2 Mirage F.1's.
Those took a beating during DS, as did the entire Iraqi air force. What surprised me was how F-15's dispatched Mig-29's and 23's with ease, but also how good a fight two Foxbat pilots put up. They too though, eventually fell too to the might Eagle. I'm not aware of any Mig-21 kills, at least by the USAF. Two Navy F-18C's downed two Mig-21's though, on a strike mission no less! Blasted them out of the sky, then proceeded to bomb their targets.
Iraq did have one air to air victory in DS: A Mig-25 show down Scott Speicher's F/A-18C on the first night. Allegedly, his ECM had malfunctioned, and the zippy Foxbat hit him with an AA-6 Acrid. HUGE air to air missile. To this day, the F-18 is the only American teen series aircraft shot down by a foreign fighter. Actually, scratch that. Iran lost a few F-14's to Iraqi Mirage F.1 ambushes. On balance though, the F-14 was an absolutely fearsome weapon. It's day has passed, but who knows? We could be seeing Iranian F-14's mixing it up with US fighters in the future!
That would be interesting...

Don't forget the TuAF F-16 that was shot down by a HAF Mirage 2000.
