Hurricanes?
So what happens to aircraft based in the path of a hurricane? Did they empty Eglin air force base or Pensacola and Key West? or are they locked up in the hangars to ride out the storm?

All aircraft have reportedly been evacuated from MacDill. Based on storm surge projections, that base may be underwater tomorrow night, and my parents possibly won't have a house.

Thanks for the link, figured they would have to be evacuating with how many aircraft the military has in Florida and the coastline of the Atlantic and gulf.
Carswell JRB's flightline is packed right now. The JRB's Facebook page has pics of the evacuated planes. I saw at least 8 F-22s arrive from Tyndall and a set of Aggressor-painted F-5s/T-38s (didn't get a close look) arrive on Friday when I did the Commissary run with the Chief.
