Limited resources is right. You can't have it all. Paying for programs is part of the deal folks..... ABSOLUTELY NECCESARY.

The A10 may seem less evil than other airframe cuts, but I don't see how it can be close to enough.
If this article is right (and I don't think it's too far off) then they need to cut 10 Billion.

340 A-10's and 60 KC's ain't gonna do it.
From time I think that military branches should be challenged in budgetary ways, so that the decision making by personnel of all level takes cost effectiveness into account.
However, these kinds of cuts go way beyond that. This is cutting capability that will be very difficult to get back if you need it later. Even if you throw money at it, the experience will have moved on.
