First received C-130A in 1965 as part of an airlift squadron under active duty air force till 1973 when converted to the C-130E and activated as an Air Force Reserve unit. In 1976, the squadron became a Weather Reconnaissance Squadron. Re-designated an airlift unit in December 1987. During May 1999 the squadron received the USAF's first C-130J. Set to deactivate?
