Airman 1st Class Christian Mejia guards disabled C-130J 04-3144 on June 6, 2013, at Forward Operating Base Shank, Logar province, Afghanistan. The aircraft had crashed earlier on May 19, 2013. [USAF photo by Master Sgt. Ben Bloker]
Ran off the end of the runway and hit a ditch at Shank, Afghanistan. The crew members were from the 41st Airlift Squadron were assigned to the 772nd Expeditionary Airlift Squadron. Crew and three passengers survived.

Airmen forward deployed from the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing assist in a crash damage reclamation and demilitarization project of C-130J 04-3144 on July 1, 2013, at a forward operating base in Afghanistan. The team recovered 250 components totalling more than $20 million. [USAF photo]
