The last two C-130H Hercules (#82-0060 & #82-0061) from the 144th AS prepare to take off for the last time from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, March 5, 2017. After 41 years of flying the C-130 aircraft, the 144th AS’s eight C-130s were divested, with the planes either being transferred to outside units or retired from service. [USAF photo by SSgt. Departed the 144th AS on March 5, 2017 and sent to Wright-Paterson AFB, Ohio. It was parked for several months till January 2018 when it was taken apart and moved to the aeromedical school house to become a trainer airframe.
