    United States Army helicopter crews (total six helicopters: 2 - AH-1 Cobras, 2 - UH-1 Hueys, 2 - OH-6 Loach's) have determined survivors to be on the ground and require rescuing. A UH-1 Huey helicopter can be seen approaching wreckage from the nose of the C-130 wreckage. Rescue of the crew members was about to begin. The Huey door gunners left their posts to enter burning wreckage and dig out C-130 crew members. Photo taken from AH-1 Cobra helicopter pilot, Don Gooch who was flying cover over the rescue.
