Damaged while on the ground at Dyess AFB. Cockpit fire in 1975 with the aircraft being put in long time storage at the base untill a replacement nose could be found. It was repaired by 1977 at a cost of $5 million. Damage caused by Radar Shop personnel failing to de-energize (per the T.O.) breaker panel, then dropping a wrench which shorted the DC bus and subsequently impacted the adjacent LOX line.
