According to a local broadcaster, one person survived the crash but has very serious injuries.

Algeria's civil defense has reduced the death toll in Tuesday's crash of a military transport by one to 76, with a sole survivor suffering from head injuries.

Bad weather has been blamed for the the crash. “Unfavorable weather conditions and storms accompanied by snow in the region were behind the crash,” the Defense Ministry said on Feb. 11.
