C-130A parts canned to a C-130J?

Hi

Been wondering this for a while and maybe cannot be answered as too many generations between aircraft, but can any parts from the legacy C-130A be cannibalized for the C-130J?

Just all depends on what you are talking about, systems, airframe/structural parts etc. Some can and some cannot due to newer technology or complete redesign, i.e., engines, composite flaps, composite wing trailing edge panels etc., on the C-130J. Even still, it seems that when LMCO made the C-130J, it created all new part numbers for everything too.
