Looks like some progress on replacing the LC-130H's with new build J-models.

Finally, long overdue IMO.

Pretty sure the plan is to repurpose 10 current HC-130Js to LC-130Js, hence the small dollar for R & D of skis etc., since we already have/own the acft. Just a matter or R & D /Engineering C_130J for ski operations. I know that is the way the USAF is proceeding with now.
