Aerial Refueling

Does anybody know if the C-130J-30 has Air refueling capability?

The capability is there. Some of the special operations have it. Kind of like external tanks...the capability is there but the standard configuration is not equipped with them installed. The increased efficiencies of the RR engines allow internal fuel load to go longer distances. Granted externals add additional fuel for longer missions/legs but a considerable drag cost.

obviously there is the problem that not every plne is air refueling capable but I dont think this will get the last "special"

But what about the length of the hose? The C-130-30's tail is farther away from the wings than in the C-130. a helicopter rotor can be too close. What do you say?

Guess clarification is needed on this question. Are you referring to the capability to be aerial refueled via USARSI or the capability to refuel other aircraft via drogue? All the USAF acft capable/equipped with drogue system are short acft and not the -30 (long) acft.
