Interesting video on why the Tu-22 Blinder was full of interesting nicknames.

The AC unit gave it the best premise of a nickname... actually several came from its AC unit.

Other planes use alcohol too but amount was lot smaller then in case of Tu-22, ordinary Tu-22 carried 250l and trainer Tu-22 carrier 400l of vodka!

Only good thing about Tu-22 it was bad enough Tupolev could pull off Tu-22M hoax, it was sold to politicians as just another upgrade even though it was new design :D
