I think I have at least one patch of every American jet fighter made. Great history!

I'm not bored. What a great resource if you can post as many as you are able. I concentrate on the A-4 as you know however the FAN tom would be the next most interesting along with the Crusader & VIGI and any NavAv aircraft really.

Okay, here are some the "old" Naval patches I have for you to see. The "1000 mph" patch is for the Crusader being the first naval aircraft to go that fast. Enjoy...............let me know what you think. Might take 2 posts to get everything in.

Great stuff indeed. You have an excellent well kept collection. My flight jacket patches became a bit grubby as one would expect with the jacket itself being really crap indeed but I still have it. I went supersonic with it at least once. <sigh>

My RAAF Training School badges (advanced & basic along with basic RAN aircrew training course badge) are somewhere.

1BFTS explains RAAF Basic Flight Training in a WINJEEL prop aircraft, the 1AFTS has small versions of my BATC 2/67 RAN Basic Air Training Course badge so I'll find a large version of these smaller badges soon. Then there is my RAAF Flying Training Course badge No.67 Course (designed by the RAAF trainees because they were together earlier for the basic training while we did ours in the RAN). Then our metal RAN Pilot WINGS badge. This was new at the time to replace the old woven badge worn on uniform sleeve. We did not have those then, some old bold pilots still wore their woven badge until they could not.

Last badges show leather name patches for our flight jacket with the first one made in Australia so it has the correct pilot wings. The second one shows USN pilot wings because the name tag was made in Manila where there was no record of RAN Pilot Wings so we got USN. Also my rank changed from SBLT to LEUT with SB crossed out to LT.

Love all your original used stuff. Great history for you and your family. Worked with some Aussie soldiers for a short time in Vietnam.

Perhaps you came across the US Army 135th EMU (Experimental Military Unit) Iroquois squadron with RAN/US personnel.
