C-130 Hercules News

December 6, 2005 (by Jonathan Somerville) - In a very tragic mishap, a C-130 has flown into an apartment building in Tehran, Iran.
The aircraft was later identified as C-130E c/n 4399 operated by the IRIAF and coded 5-8519. The aircraft was carrying a total of 84 passengers of which 68 were press. Crew consisted of ten people and all onboard were killed. In all, 116 people died, 22 on the ground. This makes this the worst C-130 mishap to date.
