First C-130J Delivered directly to a Dyess AFB, Texas Squadron.

Lockheed Martin delivered the first C-130J Super Hercules for the 39th Airlift Squadron at Dyess AFB, Texas on Feb. 9, 2012.
Maj. Gen. Rick Martin, Director of Operations for the Air Mobility Command, accepted delivery of the Super Hercules. “The pride and professionalism of the Lockheed Martin employees in this weapon system comes through loud and clear. Lockheed Martin’s commitment to excellence is exceptional,” said Martin. Aircraft tail number 08-5685 is the 15th total C-130J assigned to Dyess.
