June 3, 2018 (by
Asif Shamim) -
An Algerian Air Force C-130H (Identifed as #7T-WHT) skidded off the runway at Biskra Air Base on Sunday, 450km South of Algiers, injuring the eight aircrew, Defense Ministry confirmed in a statement.

"While landing, the Hercules C-130H deviated from Biskra Air Base runway, causing minor injuries to crew members who were immediately provided first aids, in addition to material damage," said the statement.
Initial photos show the rear tail section of #7T-WHT has broken off. Some more recent pictures indicate the forward fuselage also split and rotated round the wing box.
The source further specified that the Army Chief of Staff ordered an investigation of the accident.
It's the second plane accident which has occured in the last two months in Algeria. On April 11 the Air Force sustained its worst air disaster when an Ilyushin Il-76 crashed and killed 247 troops and some of their family members as well as the 10 aircrew.
