Crashed near Gawlior in Madhya Pradesh during a two ship formation during a low level tactical mission. Hit a hill which caused it to disintegrate on impact on a nearby river bed. All five crew members killed.

The aircrew was conducting fire-fighting missions and was scheduled to arrive at Hill AFB to refuel and resupply. Declared an inflight emergency and performed a hard landing at 13:00hrs. The aircraft sustained damage including a small fire.

Suffered a right-hand undercarriage collapse and separation of the No.4 propeller after reportedly striking a snow berm on landing at Teniente Rodolfo Marsh Airport.
01 Dec 2014 [ sto] 88-404 88- 4404 USAF 95 AS C-130H Details
Mid-air collision with a C-27J from United States Army Special Operations Command Flight Company. Collision approximately 8 miles south of Mackall AAF, North Carolina. Both aircraft declared emergencies and landed safely, the C-27 to Mackall AAF and the C-130 to Pope AAF. The C-130 sustained damage to the leading edge of the right wing and number 4 engine.
