N Ward based on HMS Invincible during the Falklands war. Ultimately it was the 30mm guns that did the damage when it severed one of the wing of the C-130 killing all seven on board. Earlier in the war, on May 29, 1982 a Hercules had dropped a bomb on the British tanker "British Wye." That bomb didn't detonate, but fear of the bombs dropped from an Argentina Hercules was enough to cause this aircraft to become a target.

Crashed on landing in bad weather 4 kilometers south of Attu, Aleutian Islands taking the lives of two crew.

Ditched after running out of fuel due to malfunctioning navigation system in Atlantic Ocean east of Cape May, New Jersey killing 5 of 13 on board.

Crashed at CFB Edmonton, Alberta during LAPES mission after chute opened and the load did not clear the aircraft. Centre of gravity changed and the aircraft suddenly banked left and impacted the ground with all seven crew (six Canadians and one American) members killed.
