A former detachment of VR-21 that stood up on October 1, 1966 at NAS Atsugi , Japan with the C-1A and shortly after obtained the C-2A. In June of 1969 the squadron received it's first C-130F. During February of 1971 the squadron moved to NAS North Island, California and gave up its C-130Fs to VR-21. After a few years the squadron, at the time located at Naval Air Station, Cubi Point, Philippines, received the C-130F in March 1977. Final move was August 1991 to Andersen AFB, Guam where the unit disbanded on October 1, 1994.
