Hello all. Does anybody know how to identify the different F-15 variants. I know the differences between an F-15C and an F-15E. However, what about the differences for example between an F-15I and an F-15SG. I am looking for things other than conformal fuel tanks.
Anyway just wondered if there were any item observable differences. Thanks for your time.

A simple google search should answer most of your questions.

Ignoring the air force symbols, serials...

Israel uses the litening pods. Singapore uses the sniper. The visual difference to USAF could also be the tails (different EW) as well as the tiger eyes IRST (which is above the sniper pod).

Thanks for you time. I think I have found differences with each variant now. I think, could be wrong, that the difference between Singapore's F-15SG and the Saudis F-15SA comes down to a small antennae present half way down the left intake on the F-15SG. This does not appear to be present on the Saudi aircraft.

Also the older F-15s seem to have a lightly different cockpit frame at the front of the canopy than the newer aircraft.

Try the defunct F-15E.info website : https://web.archive.org/web/20120325180 ... la/en/home

The Internet Archive preserved quite a lot.
