Feel free to discuss anything here - as long as it is C-130 related.

Does anyone have a higher resolution picture of the Combat Talon Pterodactyl icon for the mc-130 combat talon. I am trying to build my father a Gift with the icon but I am having a hard time finding high resolution images of it. He spent most of his Air force career aboard them but sadly Google does not have good quality images of it. Also is that the right name for that icon?
Thank you for your time.

Reach out to the 711th squadron at Duke Field. They have all the history/lineage of the Charriot. I will hit up my brothers in the Blackbird assocation and see if any of them can track one down.

It's actually a goose, as in "Stray Goose." That was a nickname of the Talons awhile ago, also a type of mission they flew in SEA. I believe that only the 1st SOS used that nickname though, but I could be mistaken. I was at Rhien-Main working with the 7th SOS in the early eighties but never heard that term used.
