Are those "levcons" or leading edge flaps?
Einstein got it backward: one cannot prevent a war without preparing for it.

Uncertainty: Learn it, love it, live it.

Why do the wings look like part of a giant circle?

Are they flaps? or just part of the wing?

Can somebody explain to me the logic in that wing design cause I'm confused?!? O_O

@F-22 lm: Thank you, very interesting, just a question:
What's the source? Air Fleet? Is it a Russian magasine? and, do you have a better copy where it is easier to read the text?

Best regards

linkomart, use the zoom capability of your screen. At 175% it is very easy to read the text and the name of the magazine, Air Fleet - Russian Air Force Aircraft and Space Review.

Quite revealing the Russian conviction that achieving signature reduction would result in F-117 like agility so measures would be taken to achieve stealth but not at the expense of performance. I suspect some,of,this same philosophy permeated into the K-FA program with it's emphasis on creating a super agile aircraft.

I've seen this design around. I had heard they dumped it. Perhaps not?

This is Mukhamedov DB design.

Guy is not your another Stavatti chief Beskar, as he went through several serious design bureaus, but has some idea fixe regarding unusual wing platform (patented) that was tested by TsAGI and was met with grain of salt by some authorities. At least he sold his idea to Iran - see Shafaq fighter that I never saw closer to flight than full scale mockup and now it seems to get cancelled or postponed for ages.
MiG and Sukhoi both have a zoo of LMFS light fighter projects, but program line is absent in GPV 2020.

So is there going to be a working prototype, or is this still concept art / full scale mockup?
