Have you ever seen such a strange little jet as this one?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PZL-230_Skorpion

At 31 feet long, it was even smaller than the Gripen or Tejas. The engine-vertical tail combo brings to mind the SR-71, but it was designed to be a subsonic attack plane. Despite having little stubby wings and a mostly-fuselage planform, it was designed for STOL. I suppose that body lift played a big role here? It was even determined that the proposed canards weren't needed. Too bad the program was cancelled; it looks like it could have turned out to be quite a cool little plane.

You just don't see this obscure thing discussed very much.

Sounds like/looks like it never got past the mock-up stage.

It looks like two Gripens rear-ended the YF-23 on takeoff roll.

Might wanna get his insurance information.

Is that the latest answer to a jet version of the Smart Car?

I think those of the Coors Silver Bullet's ilk in days of yore have it beat in the size department. However, I think that it is pretty slick! 8)

This brilliant model of one of my all time favorite aircraft (albeit sadly it never got off the ground). I'm playing it virtually constantly so I had to make my first ever post to say big thanks. Love the skins too. Not that much improvement could be made to the great work you have already done, but you mention the possibility of a Skorpion specific 'pit; is that likely to happen?

I'd say point defense fighter. I think they should have a handful at every airport and bace in the country. Home land defense.
Stealth, so the bad guys don't know your there till they start blowing up. Have a nice day!

It would make for one heck of a personal privately owned plane to buzz around in that's for sure. I'd like one to help me pick up some chicks!
