I believe it was an Israeli F-16. Most of one wing was supposed to have been lost in a training midair. Pilot was able to control and land it higher than normal land speed.

I saw an article with pictures online some time back. I can't find the item again. Can anyone point me to the article?

Though it was not leonardt's intention and doesn't really fit the subject topic, but since we're on the topic, RSAF #880 landed with 1/3 of the starboard wing (up to station 8 lost) after collided with #883 at South China Sea.

cheers, :D

It was an Israeli F-15D (# 957).
