I was wonder, if the Israeli airforce would have bombed the amunition plant in Sudan, would they have used F-16I's or F-15I's?

F-15's have a longer range, but the Sufa's have a better EW capebilities.

Israel has "denied nor confirmed" carring out the strike.

Actually, the more pertinent question would be: which route did they take?

Seems to me an accident is much more likely than a strike.
Einstein got it backward: one cannot prevent a war without preparing for it.

Uncertainty: Learn it, love it, live it.

Accident sounds more plausible then IAF going all that way. Sudan probably has no air defences to speak of, but Egypt would've saw them coming and probably give a heads up to the Sudanese.

I thought the Sinai dessert was a demiliterized zone? So there would be no airdeffence / radarstations placed in that area.

They could have also hugged the Saudi coastline. I don't expect the Saudi's to scramble jets to interscept. Let alone ever acknowladge that they were ever aware of Israeli aircraft passing by their airspace.

But that still doesn't really answer my question :P
