If I'm not mistaken, I believe we're looking at a lot at AMARC, packed with P-3s, followed by F-4s. The Orions were most likely at the end of their service life (A and B models perhaps?) and the Phantoms are being prepared for their second career as FSATs. There's another thread floating around here with your SALT (or START) lot, with the BUFFs.

If you look close enough at near the center top, I think you'll see a C-5A Galaxy, this shot is fresh.
The fighter is not what counts, it's the one who's flying it that matters!

Maybe. Perhaps the C-5 is bringing something in? Not all AMARC planes arrive under their own power. But still...that is definately one SH*TLOAD of hardware!

The C5 is sitting on the TA ramp at DM. The AMARC ramp is off the left side of the picture at the end of the runway.

I don't think that was all Billy Bob's fault. Those Phantoms were at the end of their service lives, and I have a feeling those were early Orions, which were at the end as well. We now have better fighters than the Phantom, and we have some really souped up Orions, thus making those in the pic obsolete.

I guess not, I was reading an article of last month's issue of AFM, it was on AMARC and how do they preserve aircraft over there, the way they start storing the C-5A was by first removing the upper structure of the tail, which isn't visible in this shot.
