I meant warheads of the same size of the one typically fitted to a Slammer but packing a yield of a W25 warhead.

Miniaturization of nuclear warheads is possible these days.

Who said it wasn't possible? It's just so far off the impractical scale it breaks the meter. Salvos of nuclear tipped AAMs? Nope.

Maybe the yield of an AIM-120N (nuclear-tipped AIM-120D Slammer) will be much smaller, like 0.5 - 1 kT.

Nuke-U-ler Slammers? It's been awhile since I've used this one... :wtf:

There are no nuke-tipped AMRAAMs, the Loch Ness Monster is a myth, and Elvis is dead.

The end of F-106 ops also ended Genie ops, and now with the treaties in place with the Russians, I don't see us procuring newer nukes, especially in an AA role.

Also, the US's nuclear policy, is that we are not a "First Strike" nation. We will not launch nukes against another country, unless we have been attacked with NBC warfare first.

This article highlights the need for more Raptors.

Although the scenarios are more different, with F-22 Raptors squaring off against Sukhoi Su-35BM Flanker-Es in the Pacific Ocean flown by Russian VVS and ChiCom PLAAF pilots:

For some humorous sarcasm, if you wanna see how they fly their jets, watch this video clip and ping me your opinions:
