All the coverage of the Georgian thing has gotten me thinking that I know next to nothing re: ruskie guided weapons, specifically, bombs. The US media is seemingly ALWAYS talking about precision guided munitions.
So, what's the scoop? Do they use them?
Global Security here I come.

They seem to have some decent air to ground/ship and antiradiation missiles. Some of it is more on the electro optical level, but you don't seem to see or hear about bombs such as the likes of ours. They sure LOVE their unguided rockets though!!!

Here is a decent writeup of Russian guided weapons from APA:

The Mach 4.5 ramjet Kh-31P/MP/A/MA Krypton family of missiles includes anti-radiation, anti-shipping and anti-AWACS variants.
Of their stuff that I do know about, this one is a real eye opener for me- especially the part about "anti-AWACS". Between it's speed and range, that could be a pretty scary missile!

I guess if you only wanted to get close the Russians would use GLONASS, but for accuracy they prefer optical

It could be fairly accurate if they want to bomb some point in Russia. Lets wait and see if they can ever finish their constellation and keep it working.

uh...dude [skyhigh-on-something]...dive-bombing worked because the planes flew slow enough to aim, and their speed was low enough that it didnt really affect the bomb's tragectory aside from launch speed. Modern jets fly so fast that one tiny miscalculation would hurl the bomb way off target. Basic high-school physics...
Might work with an A-10.....
Why try it though? Tax-payers spent frillions getting us guided bombs, d@mmit! I say - Let them eat cake!

Why not deploy speedbrakes and chop engine power while diving, just like a dive bomber, to control its rate of descent and not kamikaze onto the deck?

When the Air Force generals decided to commence anti-satellite operations.
The most deadly weapons the Russkies (and Chicoms) have in store for our Navy are the Raduga P-270 Moskit (SS-N-22 Sunburn) and Novator 3M54E Klub (SS-N-27 Sizzler) .
Whoa, these missiles are mad!
Trust me, you don't want to be on a ship waddling on the business end of these Sunburns or Sizzlers!
Like the Tomahawk and Harpoon, they can be air, sea, surface or underwater launched.

Really? When did that happen? Hasn't happened in the past couple of years that I've been back in the AF. It didn't happen during the 4 years I was working as a DOD civilian. It didn't happen during the 4 years before that, when I was in the Reserve.
Seriously kid, get your facts straight. This is getting rather annoying.
