The aircraft was part of TNI-AU 32 SKN (SQN) Malang. TNI-AU 31 SKN (SQN) members only ferried the aircraft from Richmond NSW, Australia to Halim, Indonesia. It was there in Halim 32 SKN (SQN) took ownership of the aircraft.
