This C-130H was the very first aircraft to land in the Falkland Islands on the first day Argentina invaded the island that started the conflict between U.K. and Argentina over the control of the islands in 1982. TC-68 is the only C-130 concerted into a bomber during the Falkland war. Its external fuel tanks were removed and the pilots were modified to hold a bomb rack donated from an A-4 Skyhawk and was used to attack ships that are supporting the British Royal Navy. In June of 1982 it bombed and sank a Liberian tanker making the first and use of a C-130 to drop bombs from the wing pylons. Ironically that Liberian tanker was named 'Hercules'.
