Damaged in a landing mishap at RAF Thorney Island: The co-pilot was landing the aircraft during asymmetric landing training (Engine shutdown) and the a/c got away from him before the Flying Instructor could react. The port wing and number four prop struck the runway. Parts of the blade penetrated the fuselage narrowly missing the loadmaster. Pictures show starboard wing damaged by fire. Aircraft was dismantled and transported away for repairs.
