Errors and Omissions

Recently spotted lacking "fishnet" antenna array - I believe this is now a TC-130H trainer

C-130 65-0967 flew over my shop several times back in May. It has the large bumps on the sides of the fuselage between the wings and tail like an EC-130H and it also has the air intakes at the front of the landing gear bays. But it does not have the "fishnet" antenna array that's normally draped from the rudder to the horizontal stabilizers, nor does it have the bar under the tail that supports the lower part of the fishnet. I scoured the Internet, looking for more information about this particular plane. The only thing I was ever able to find was the mention of a "TC-130H" that's used for training purposes. I suspect that this is an example of such a TC-130H.

lacking the HC-130H designation

Pretty sure when 67 was flown by the 76 and 36 ARRS', she was considered an HC-130H like the rest of her sister birds.

Also yes, she was converted to an EC-130H not supporting the low band system, and now she is a TC-130H with the mission equipment removed.

Sister birds- 0963 and 0969 36th ARRS Tachikawa AFB, Japan 1968-1969

I was stationed at Tachi in 1968-1969 prior to the Unit being moved to Yokota AFB in Dec 69 when Tachikawa was shut down. I worked as a a AFSC 431X1C and worked and flew on all three birds(63-67-69) HC-130H models. Jerry Hankins, MSgt Ret.
