T&G Aviation was later renamed International Air Response, based at Chandler MAP, Arizona before moving to Coolidge Municipal Airport, also in Arizona. In 2002 this C-130 was leased to the US government to be used as a demonstrator for the "Killer Herc" concept in which a C-130 would air drop a UAV and launch Hellfire missiles. Test was held at the Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona. In December 2002 the aircraft did successfully deploy a UAV from the cargo hold. After the "Killer Herc" program ended the aircraft returned to International Air Response where the FAA installed many structural sensors in early 2003 for fire fighting service in this and a sister C-130 with the company. Both aircraft were given the okay by the FAA to return to aerial fire fighting. Aircraft was featured in a 2013 Mountain Dew add that was for the Canadian market. Has over 14,000 hours on the air frame.
